[BASH! UE updated] THE AMAZING BASH! BUILDER (Excel)

Post by kevperrine »

With the newly updated edition of BASH! UE, I thought it appropriate to give notice of a wonderful tool!

This is a thread to discuss and utilize
THE AMAZING BASH! BUILDER
an Excel created spreadsheet made exclusively to model builds of your favorite superheroes and supervillains or to create your own Player Characters or Non-Player Characters!!
BASH! Forum-fan "Simpson" worked to develop the original version of the AMZ-BB. I aided in the process and have been updating it ever since.

The builder is not 100% fully auto-mated but it is extremely complete and meant to be a worksheet to develop your Character through stages.
It is built utilizing Excel tabs to walk you as you're modeling your Character through the STEPS in the Rules As Written through BASH! Character Creation. Simply follow the tabs and suggestions, while referencing your BASH! UE rulebook for rule details.
You can download the newest version of the AMZ-BB at:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/bas ... 20BUILDER/

The original discussion for the spreadsheet that would become THE AMAZING BASH! BUILDER can be followed here:

Here is a sample Character modeled with the AMZ-BB:

If you have any questions or comments, please post them here and I will do my best to aid you.

Kev,

Hadn't been paying much attention to the updates of late. Started to use the new version of the Builder tonight, as I'm redoing the pregens for Plague of Darkness.

Looks nice, but I really dislike the separation of skills between Mental/Physical, as I prefer to list them alphabetically on a sheet. Is there anyway you'd consider make an alternate version that keeps skills in one place? I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers keeping skills all together, and not separating them

Also:

I'm doing an ION Guard character, and they get Mentor for Free. So the character has 3 ads/2 Disads. I put 0 in the Override section for cost, and the form still charged me, so the character's points are off. You might want to fix that.

I think making the alternate rule of paying 1 pt per as default should be removed, and let the person add in the value as needed, since the over ride doesn't seem to be working

Hey urbwar!

Sorry, I've been buried under my new (crappy) just-for-now job over the last 2 weeks. I have tomorrow off and look to update *hopefully* EVERYTHING I've been lax on in my *FUN* life - meaning.... helping with things like this as well as all the other BASH! and non-BASH! game fun stuff I'm working on.

Look for more by Thursday night.
thanks

Kev,

figured you were busy when I didn't hear back from you after I sent you that email. Since the game is Saturday, I went back to using Comic Life for the time being, as I needed to get the characters updated for the game.

Still look forward to any responses to my questions though!
