Clash of the Titans was good enough, but this...

Clash of the Titans wasn't my favorite movie but it did have some very cool sequences between the hero Perseus and the various monsters and gods. The movie
almost made me want to run a supers campaign set in ancient mythical Greece.
Now there is a new movie that looks like it might fit even better with the supers genre: IMMORTALS

I hope this movie lives up to its trailer!
[Hey BASHMAN. How's ā
Age of Olympusā coming along? If I knew more about the historical period and the legends - and could write more than 100 words an hour ā Iād offer to help you out!]

I was hoping to have it released to coincide with the movie release, but art has been coming in small spurts.
I may release a short adventure or something to give people a a "taste" of it by then.

Are you serious! I was worried that the project might have hit a more substancial stall. That would be most excellent!
An adventure would be an excellent means of carrying interest in the project until the book can finally be released. [Even a second adventure a month or so later would probably help to carry some of the momentum until production can finish up.]
You can certainly count me in on buying this!

I have to say the new Clash of the Titans sucked (original is still a classic) and they are making a sequel....
Now Immortals looks amazing, but lets hope all the best bits aren't in the trailer!

Henry Cavill is the playing Theseus in the "Immortals" and is currently filming "Man of Steel". I've seen him in "The Tudors" but it will be interesting to see him as a lead before we see him as Clark/Kal-El.
PS: Some of the stills released for "Man of Steel" look good - but some of the stunt-casting (Kevin Coster, etc) doesn't make me hopeful.

A new Superman movie? Cool. I'll have to keep my eye on that one. I really enjoyed the last one. I just wish he could tussle with a villain with some real super powers. Of the original superman movies, my favorite was #2 with him fight Gen. Zod and the others from his planet. [Ahhh, the fond memories...]

You're in luck Mr. Jupiter! The main villian for Man of Steel is Zod, played by Michael Shannon.

As cheesy as some of the previous Superman movies were, i was glad that Superman Returns carried on with a sense of the same basic continuity. Hopefully they will do this with Zod as well.
Superman: "General Zod. I see you're back. Oh well, at least I'm not the only Kryptonian any more!"

From what I have read, The Man of Steel will have nothing to do with any of the previous movies.

Also, there is a rumor that Man of Steel is being rushed out before the lawsuit from the Siegel/Schuster families goes into effect and DC will owe 50% of all Superman to them - that lawsuit has been going on forever and isn't resolved yet so who knows?
I hope it's good of course but can't understand with 73 years of stories to go with that they keep using the same 2 plots and same 2 villains over and over and over and over?

Now that would be a serious challenge for the Man of Steel!

I can't believe you liked Superman Returns. Poorest use of Lex Luthor i have ever witnessed. Very weak master plan too.
But to the subject on hand. I really hope Immortals is a good movie......I thought of maybe running a supergods campaign. The players play cosmic level heroes who witnessed the end of the world only to be brought back at the last minute to our time.

True about Lex Luthor but I do think that Kevin Spacey did a good job of portraying Lex.
