Help conclude my season...please
I need help with my season finally.
An evil sorceress (hints have been made this is Morgan Le Fey or Guinevere) has powered up the ley lines of Britain using various magical items she has stolen (this includes a players magical sword). She has now gone to the nexus (Stonehenge) to do an enchantment which will summon the throne of Britain. He partner (hints this could be Arthur or Mordred) will sit on the throne and in doing so take over Britain. The throne controls the heart of Britain, it controls people emotions, feelings and flow of magic, just by sitting on the throne people will see him as king and natural ruler.
So the players have worked out a big enchanment is on the way, Professor Denrimus (hints this guy is merlin) got them to go the fey realm to get a powerful magic sword (nullifies magic).
So the final scenarios is the sorceress will take over Stonehenge, I am seeing a host of unseelie (trolls, goblins etc) surrounding the stones, some sort of shield over it and an enchantment that will cause modern items to go wrong (flintlocks misfire, canons explode, cannon balls turn into showers of flowers etc).
The bit I need help on.
The scenario basis around the players going to Stonehenge and must get past the horde and halt the enchantment before it’s to late.
Other things in the mix (one of the heroes has the banner of Ambrosius Aurelianus which when unfurled will summon the knights of Camelot (undead/ghostly type), also there is a battered regiment of British troops who want some payback)
So how do I make this fun, fast, furious an epic, how do I handle them getting through the ranks, just in time to stop the enchantment with there last hits/breath, this is also one of the players plot lines, were he kinda takes on the roll as protector on Britain.
Any ideas thoughts on how I can conclude this season with a bang?
Cheers,
Steve

This looks like an exciting season finale. I’m ashamed to admit it but I’ve only ran two adventures with BASH so far, and both of these were on a much smaller scale than what you’ve got planned, so I can’t really offer much advice as to how to pull that one off. I would recommend that you think of a few alternative methods to deliver the “player becomes Britain’s protector” plot line as players usually end up being quite unpredictable in play. It sounds as if your idea might be to have the player make some kind of heroic sacrifice to earn this honor. This might not unfold as planned – another character might perform the act instead or the group might find a way to circumvent this need.
Generally, some things to keep in mind are to assign most of the members of the Unseelie court as minions to ensure that they don’t wear the player’s characters down too much. Make sure there are also a lot of opportunities for the players to earn Hero Points and Dice by dramatically saving NPC allies (and innocents – maybe tourists or human sacrifices required for the ritual – inadvertently caught up in the situation) from imminent harm.
Maybe have a great distraction ready to drop on the villains that will create an opening for one or more of the players if they are struggling. Maybe an allied aircraft, felled by the enemy, slams into the horde of dark fey between them and the sorceress allowing the heroes an opportunity to close some of the distance.
I think that your adventure has all the makings of a very satisfying and memorable season finale. I hope you all have fun playing it!
[Question: What time period is this adventure set to occur in? I ask because the “modern” examples could hint at the Napoleonic Era.]

Cheers for the input, I like the idea of having to save people during the battle...hmmm tempted not to let them know that modern items become faulty, now.
So they roll in with the British Rifles, let them deploy cannon etc, only for it all to go horribly wrong.
Yep spot on it's a British Regency based game, my last season had the players kinda responsible for the Burning of Moscow 1812, when they crashed a French Air Ship with an Egyptian super weapon into it..by accident!!!

Cheers, it's worked well so far, I have tried to go for a extraordinary league of gentlemen meets sharpe. It is fairly low powered x3 is the max so far, as I wanted street thugs to remain a threat.
They are just coming up to the end of the second season and their are 2.5 left, then I will move into the Victorian Period.

Rank 3 is a great maximum for an awesome XLG-type setting. I did that once for a Mystery Men level X-Men type game I allowed rank 4 but at twice the cost (6 pts for rank 3 Stats, but 10 pts for rank 4). No one went for rank 4 with stats (a couple did with powers as it was cheaper).
So was that 2.5 players left at the end of second season or that you actually have 2 and a half seasons left to go before you conclude your campaign? That would be awesome! [Edit: The goal of 2.5 seasons that is, not a 2.5 bodycount.]

lol 2.5 seasons...
My original plan was to have about 6 scenarios per season and then have each season focus on a character story line to 3 to 4 scenarios would be about the character. I have modified this slightly as it would of gone on to long and we are trucking along at a good pace.
Season 1
French Super War Machine (Complete)/Alverton was also killed in the epilogue of this season.
Season 2
Alverton returned and the finale will be him stopping Morgan Le Fay and Arthur from taking over Britain.
Season 3
The majority of this season will be about two characters story lines, at the end of last season Martha Stevens who is semi possessed, has the evil spirit escape. She will go nuts for a few scenarios and end up on Bedlam, then have to make a pack with the devil to destroy the spirit. The other parts include Tavistock who has been raised by Atlantians after being thrown into their dimension as a child finding more out about his earthly background and will end with Dread Pirtate Roberts kidnapping an Atlantian queen as she is the only one who can read the treasure map. The treasure is in fact an Atlantian war machine which also the Tongs and the British Government are after.
Season 4
Will get the players out of Britain as the globe hop trying to find the treasure and rescue the girl. When they return Britain is not what is was as the Dark Herald (introduced in seasons 1 and 2) has made his move and will end with the Freemasons summoning Cthulhu (from the very start of this campaign I had a vision of Cthulhu rising up under Tower Bridge). The final battle will shunt the players to Antaris (Tavistocks home world, were the surviving Atlantians live).
Season 5.
Tavistock’s farther survived the original explosion but has become unhinged as he lost his son, a industrialist has used this to his advantage and got him to create a gate to antaris through which he can invade. So it’s a bit sandbox, but basically a massive invasion fleet has taken over the Atlantian city. The players need to gain some allies, rescue the royal family and drive the enemy forces out of Antaris and all before tea and crumpet.
Good I waffle sometimes, a bit rough in places but you get the idea, hopefully the players should end up.
Alverton (Legionnaire) – Protector of Britain
Martha Stevens/Delancey (Highwayman/woman) – Devils sidekick (a bit ghost ridery)
Tavistock (Tarzan/Alice in Wonderland) – King of Antaris
Smythe (Hawkeye with a crossbow) – Getting drunk somewhere with his kung-fu assassin girlfriend

I loved extraordinary league for gentleman and it started from there, I also decided I didn’t want it to be to gun happy, so I moved back from the Victorian Period to Regency (I like sharpe).
I then decided it would be seasonal and that each character would have several scenarios related to them in each season, so generally each season finale will relate to a character background.
One of the key things was to get the players to write a background and design 2-4 villains they had encountered. I would say 50% of the campaign has come from the players. But a lot of their backgrounds have generated other scenarios. For instance Tavistock arrived in this world via a gem, this gem shattered into 3 parts, they are just about to recover the 1st part, from a guy who is using it to teleport. The other 2 pieces are involved in more dastardly plots!!
