Got a new one. This is a commission from an artist named Drew. He was working on a project for me, but due to various personal reasons, has to drop out. I was going for a movie serial style retro villain, but the piece didn't come out that way. I was somewhat disappointed at first, but eventually came up with a concept to use with the piece.
Note: This is not the final piece, but a color version prior to him finalizing it for me. The color for the middle of his outfit changed, as well as having a symbol on his chest. Enjoy!
Here's a new one. I've been working with Anthony Green, who did the art for Zenith Comics Supervillains. He puts a lot of work into his creations, sending sketches with different poses, etc, before working on the final piece. Here is a low res version of the first piece he did for me, The Grand Inquisitor:
Realized I hadn't posted anything new here. Got 3 more Anthony Green pieces to share.
First up is some powered armor worn by agents of the same organization as The Grand Inquisitor. There are two types. First up is the ones worn when they go on covert ops:
The second is the gold colored armor worn in public:
Lastly, an image of the organizations rank and file soldiers:
More to come as I get it!

I sent him a few pics I got off the net to use as reference. I wanted the mundane troopers to have regular weapons, and not fancy, high tech energy weapons. That's too typical of organizations in comics
Actually that weapon isn't mundane. It is one of a few reserved for special operators. M-4 and certain SMG's as well as AK's of different models would be more common. But it is one of the more difficult weapons to draw because of the way the stock folds and the Pickitiney rails and how different attachments change the profile. Still, great pic.
I was looking back at the pictures I had downloaded for it, and it's actually not a SCAR; it's a MSBS-5. a polish made weapon. Here is the blog site I found out about it from. If you look at the pictures, it does resemble other rifles in certain configurations; Anthony was basing the one in the image on the last pic on that page (though that one had a sight on it).
WOW! Polish knock off of a Belgian rifle. That is obscure. But I guess that they would be cheaper for the bad guys than buying real FN weapons. Can't have minions running around with better gear than the heroes... or CAN YOU?

Yeah, I thought it interesting to go with a supplier you'd least expect. Thought it would be a nice twist.
* yeah. I do that in my games a lot. I give the minions Hero Killer weapons and watch the surprised look on a Player's face when his Uber Guy drops like a rock after one hit and the rest of the group scatters! Awesome stuff. My favorite is the use of firearms though. Yes you can shoot laser beams that can knock over a car... but this guy is sitting just over a kilometer away with a .50 caliber sniper rifle, a high powered scope and the ability to kill you with it whenever he wants. Sorry cyclops, you're not as bad * as you thought.
Plus I was going for something more Iron-Agey. This group is kind of a cross between the Helsing Organization (from the Hellsing anime) and the Purifiers from the X-Men Graphic Novel "God Loves, Man Kills".
