Oops. I edited my post to fix a typo and it changed my die rolls. Originally I recognized Tempest and not Luminous. Is there a spell check on this? LOL.
Did you submit your post then edit it, or did you use the Preview button to see it, make your change, then submit it?
In theory, it should not change your rolls after you hit the submit button. But if you preview it, then submit it, the rolls will change between the preview and the actual submitted post. Only the submitted roll counts.
If you submitted it, then edited it, and it changed your rolls, that's unexpected and hasn't happened to me. It should keep the result, although it will add the word "Fixed" to the roll block to let people know the post was edited after the roll was made (even if nothing was changed).

The forum editor doesn't have a spell checker.
However, I'm using Firefox for my browser, and it auto-spell checks on these forum posts. Misspelled words (or unrecognized words) are underlined in red in this post editor. I can right click on the misspelled word and it displays possible alternative spellings, just like in Word, etc.
I believe there is an in-line spell-checker for IE too, but you have to download it first. I don't recall what it is called, though.
I submitted it. Though I think I previewed it first to allow me to comment on whether I recognized the other characters.
Then after I realized I spelled "heard" as "herd", I edited it (not sure if I previewed it again at that time or not and submitted it. )
I only noticed it because I had rolled doubles on recognizing Tempest the first time, then after the edit they were no longer there.
SO I guess, previewing the results of the die rolls to comment on them is not a good idea? Better to just roll the dice and post a new comment afterwards?
