a pair of new images!

First up is a version of Brainchild, leader of The Others. His outfit colors will be changed in the final version:

This is a sketch of a soldier in the army of Eon, the Time Twister....

Thanks Mr. Jupiter. I'm pleased with how Brainchild came out. Looking forward to the finished version of Eon's soldier as well

Kris is working on some Ape-themed villains I created a few years ago, tied to the background of the hero American Ape.

First up is Simius, AA's brother. Having lost the competition that allowed his brother to become American Ape, Simius decided to conquer the world. Using some high tech gauntlets created by his people, he leads a group of super powered gorilla in his quest to rule the world:

The first to be enhanced by Simius, Brain Ape has various mental powers to go with his super genius intellect:

Ice Ape is a female Ape who was given Ice Powers by Simius:

Iron Ape obviously, has Iron Skin:

The last of Simius' super powered servants, Shape Ape can mold his body into other forms, as well as create weapons from his limbs:

Lastly, every world conqueror needs an army. While his isn't large, the ones who serve Simius are Gorillas armed with ray guns:

The final version of the soldiers won't have boots.

Holy crap! These are great super-simian ideas. Looks like Simius has spared nothing in his efforts to launch all-out Gorilla War!

He's based in the Golden Age as well. Part of his backstory is that he and his super apes went after Roosevelt, and killed the earlier heroes (ie the pulp heroes) of the time. American Ape and the heroes who would become his team mates showed up and stopped him. That's how they became a team.

I like team foundations stories that have a great villain as their binding glue. Simius is a great villain character.

I like to think so. He's one of my "Master" villains, along with Eon/Lord Eon. I created his background at the same time I did American Ape, so I've had the concept around a few years now

This is the Flying Headquarters of Simius:

And these are fighter craft the ship carries inside:

Simius is guarded by the Praetorians. Their powered armor resembles that of a Roman Legionnaire, much like the armor Simius himself wears

This image is fantastic! I love how the historical elements are incorporated into the armor's design.

The art style is very impressive, and I love the use of apes as characters! Smile
